The lamb carrying the cross symbolizes victory. The pelican feeding her young with her own blood symbolizes Christ's sacrifice.
The Hughes memorial window was ordered 1889 and came from Munich, Germany.
"To the precious and cherished memory of Hannah Hughes a devoted daughter and Mary Ann Hughes a faithful mother." The dates reveal that Mary Ann gave birth to Hannah at 23. Hannah lived to her 41st year. Mary Ann survived her daughter by 10 years and lived 74 years. Mother and daughter who lived in house which still stands directly to the east of the church.
