Pat B. is collecting shoes as a member of the Pompey Lions Club to send to WaterStep, a project to provide shoes for adults and children and clean water for people around the world. Please bring pairs of gently used shoes that are good for walking to Crosby Hall.
Pat is also collecting used eye glasses and hearing aids for the Pompey Lions Club. There is a collection bin in Crosby Hall. Thank you for your contributions.

Lenten Series: South Sudan-Healthcare delivery in a conflict zone
After the 10:15 service on March 11th, Dr. David Reed, MD will share his experiences as an emergency physician developing health-care access in a region that has been devastated by conflict. South Sudan continues to suffer from civil war and inter-tribal violence. Building healthcare access from nothing, what are the priorities and challenges when insecurity persists?
On March 18th, Dr. Reed will speak to the church-school youth about his experiences in South Sudan, his reflections on responding to a call to serve, and his personal journey sorting out how to do it the best way possible.
If you have the opportunity, recommended background Movie to watch: “The Good Lie” a full length 2014 film, starring Reese Witherspoon and produced by Ron Howard, is available on Amazon Prime. It tells the story of the Lost Boys and Girls of South Sudan, and describes effectively the many challenges that still are present today.
Welcoming Workshops will be held in the community room at 11:30 a.m. on February 11 and 25. Each of the sessions will contain different content and build upon one another. You are invited to attend either or both sessions.

Taizé services will be held Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Crosby Hall beginning on February 18 and continuing through March 18.
